Bargain! The Jonas Brothers drop the price of their spare Texas mansion… but it will still cost the next owner $3.2 million

The band may have split up, but the tween music industry’s loss is the real estate world’s gain.
Now that Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas have grown up and gone their separate ways they have put their giant Texas mansion on the market and while not cheap, a potential buyer certainly gets a lot of rustic bang for their buck.
The Disney stars originally bought the home back in 2008 to be a place for their family, but with their careers taking them in different directions the house never got a chance to become a full time home
Fast forward six years and the band have decided to let the massive property go.
The trio first out the home on the market quietly for $3.4 million but this month dropped the price by $200,000 and, in doing so, revealed themselves as the owners.
For those interested, not only do they get a little piece of the Jonas Brothers history, they also get a lot of house – namely six bedrooms, six full bathrooms and a half bathroom for good measure
Located in the prestigious Westlake area, according to the listing the ranch-inspired two story country home is an impressive 7,360-square-feet and is located on a very large a private block overlooking a golf course.
While a mansion, the house has been designed to try to embrace a country home feeling even from the outside, which features multi-coloured stonework.
Inside, rustic meets luxury is the order of the day with more wood beams and modern versions of traditional cow skulls than you can poke a stick at.
While probably not to everyone’s taste, when visitors walk into the home they are treated to a country inspired house.
After stepping through a foyer guests then head into a sunken expansive living area that has been made to feel homey thanks to the combination of stonework sections, beams and wood floors.
The living space has an open plan dining area that then flows into the living room that has been set up round the giant stone fireplace.
Lots of country-style leather couches and artwork has been thrown in for good measure to add to the rustic architectural details.
The home also features a formal dining room with plenty of space for a big Jonas family and guests.
And, there is plenty of room to cook up a feast to eat there, with the home’s kitchen featuring an enormous stone surrounded oven and cook top and, if the two other eating areas are not enough, it also has a large granite top island with seating.
There is also plenty of space to clean up after a big dinner party, as the home has an unusually large laundry area, which has its own folding island to rival the kitchen’s.
There are also plenty of other spaces to escape to and entertain in the house and this includes a wet bar, dry bar, a games room, a media room and, of course, a music room.
Outside there is also lots of areas to have fun contained within the rolling green landscaped lawn areas.
In the summer time, the new owners can kick back on the large pergola, entertain in the ‘outdoor living centre’ or cool off in the saltwater pool, which is complete with a diving board and spa.
But if all this is not enough, the home is located in the Vaquero Club community that features its own tennis court, pools, clubhouse and Tom Fazio-designed golf course.
In addition to the listing price of the home, living in the community costs $4,700 a year.
